Refurbished bedrooms at the Bruntsfield Hotel

We have just completed the refurbishment of 10 bedrooms at the Bruntsfield Hotel. These rooms have benefitted from new fitted furniture, beds, fabrics, carpeting and 80cm wall mounted televisions and free Wi Fi internet access. The bathrooms have also been fully upgraded. Business conditions may be tough but we are lucky to be in the position that we can continually invest in the hotel to maintain the highest quality standards. Bruntsfield Hotel green update

As part of the Bruntsfield Hotel’s ongoing policy for protecting the environment and to further enhance our Gold Award in the Green Tourism Scheme, we are at present replacing the boiler plant in one of the hotel’s three plant rooms. As is the case in many hotels, major improvement works often go unnoticed when they are in “back of house” areas. This new boiler plant will be much more energy efficient than the ageing plant it replaces and will also generate 30% more hot water at all times. The result is improved guest comfort whilst at the same time reducing the hotel’s energy use.

A warm goodbye and a happy retirement

The staff members from the Bruntsfield Hotel gathered together on the afternoon of Wednesday 17th March to wish two of our members of the kitchen team good health and happiness in their retirement. Champagne, scones, jam and cream were the order of the day as we bade them a fond farewell.
